Lislea Men’s Shed
10th Anniversary
Lislea Men’s Shed was formed in November 2016 so will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in the coming months. The shed has proved to be very successful and has helped many in the community to learn new skills, make new friends and generally have some good ‘craic’.
During the coming months we will spend some time thinking of the shedders that we have lost over the past 10 years and remembering them with some sadness but also lots of good memories.

Annual General meeting 2026
Wednesday 1st July 2026
10am – 2pm
Our AGM took place in the shed on Wednesday 1st July. As always, we started off with our usual tea/coffee and scones provided by our baker, Peter McParland. There was a great turnout of members and we were joined by Kathy Gallagher, Denise McBride of Southern Age Well Network and Steve Yeomans, Project Manager of Newry and Mourne Community Transport. Minutes were read and reports were given to the satisfaction of all. Officers then vacated their posts and it was time for election or re-election. The elections were supervised by Kathy Gallagher and all newly elected officers took their posts. Our thanks to Kathy, Denise and Steve for their attendance and help with this important meeting.
